PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit the same electronic mail to a plurality of destinations in a LAN without applying a load to resources. SOLUTION: When a mail server receives the electronic mail wherein two or more image forming devices are designated as the transmission destinations, the mail server transfers the electronic mail to only one image forming device of them. The image forming device analyzes information about the transmission destinations in the received electronic mail. When the two or more image forming devices are designated as the transmission destinations, image information included in the mail is transferred to the other image forming device when the other image forming device is determined to be present in the LAN.
