PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an effect which the change of an ion flight distance caused by thermal expansion of a TOFMS (Time-Of-Flight Mass Spectrograph) tube has on an analysis result. SOLUTION: The TOFMS has a ranging means 40, which detects the change of the length of a spectrograph tube 20, on a structure body including the spectrograph tube 20, and a correcting means 33, which corrects output data of the TOFMS on the basis of the output signal from the ranging means 40 during data processing. This allows the TOFMS to measure the change of the ion flight distance caused by thermal expansion of the structure body, which is a factor that has an effect on ion flight time, and to correct the ion flight time by using the change of the ion flight distance. As a result, reproducibility and accuracy stability of the TOFMS analysis is improved. |
