PURPOSE: A method for controlling an engine of a vehicle is provided to shorten an engine developing time and engine developing cost by mathematically calculating and predicting the amount of fuel supplied into the engine. CONSTITUTION: An ambient temperature and pressure at an air inlet of a turbo charger compressor are calculated(S110). After assuming the temperature of an air outlet of the turbo charger compressor, pressure at the air outlet of the turbo charger is calculated. Then, efficiency of the turbo charger is calculated(S130) so as to predict the amount of air. Temperature of an air outlet of an intercooler is calculated(S140). The real amount of air is calculated(S150). The real amount of air is compared with the predicted amount of air so as to output fuel injection control signal until the real amount of air is the same with the predicted amount of air(S160,S170).
