<p>When a user watching a digital television instructs printing, a printer (600) reports an STB (500) so as to transmit print object data required for printing one page. Sample.bml transmitted from the STB is received and analyzed to specify image data whose longitudinal and lateral sizes are unknown. The printer reports to the STB so as to transmit the longitudinal and lateral size of the specified image data. According to the longitudinal and lateral sizes transmitted from the STB, layout for printing is performed and actual image data is acquired from the STB, thereby performing printing on page basis.</p> |
