<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which each of pixels Aij arranged in a matrix form placement is provided with an active element TR1 and a liquid crystal element LC at low cost and which can deal with pixel defect at a low cost and at any time even in a complicated circuit structure. SOLUTION: A control signal from the TR1 to the liquid crystal element LC is regarded as the input IN of an operation inspecting circuit 1, a logic judging circuit 3 judges whether or not it matches with an expectation, and a memory circuit 4 holds the result of the judgment and at the same time, represents it as the output OUT to a switch circuit 2. The switch circuit 2 drives the liquid crystal element LC if it is judged as normal operation and controls it with the coming line data by TR2 if it is judged as an abnormal operation. Therefore, without lowering the display quality so much, it can save device and time for inspection and repairing operation, can reduce the cost and also can deal with even a defect after shipment even in a complicated circuit structure.</p> |
