PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission capable of reducing a cost. SOLUTION: The automatic transmission is provided with an automatic clutch 20, an automatic transmission unit 30, and an ECU 50. The automatic clutch 20 is provided with a friction clutch 21, and an actuator 23 for the clutch. The actuator 23 for the clutch controls release and engagement of the friction clutch 21. The automatic transmission unit 30 has a synchromesh mechanism and actuators 41-43 for speed change. The actuators 41-43 for speed change switches a speed by moving the sleeve of a synchromesh mechanism. The ECU 50 inputs the mission oil temperature of the automatic transmission unit 30 detected by an oil temperature sensor and when the oil temperature is -20 deg.C or below, down-shift to a first step is prohibited. |
