PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a ring wave, and acquire a large multi- directional wave. SOLUTION: This wave making device is equipped with plural driving arms 21a-21c, two or one shaft 22a, 22b arranged on the tips of the driving arms 21a-21c, free rotatable rotors 23a, 23b enclosing the shafts 22, 22b, and plural wave making plates 24a, 24b mounted on the rotors 23a, 23b. The device is characterized by arranging each wave making plate 24a, 24b mounted respectively on the adjacent driving arms 21a-21c so as to move as one linear wave making plate, and adjusting and absorbing the length between the driving arms 21a-21c determined by inclinations of the wave making plates 24a, 24b.
