PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the construction cost and running cost of a granulating water tank annexed to a waste gasifying melting furnace. SOLUTION: In a method of water-granulating a molten slag, the quantity of water supplied to the granulating water tank 1 is increased when the quantity of molten slag 4 discharged from the waste gasifying melting furnace 2 exceeds a prescribed quantity.
