PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a troidal type continuously variable transmission capable of effectively preventing a trunnion from elastic deformation. SOLUTION: The troidal type continuously variable transmission is furnished with a coupling member 33 to couple together a pair of folded wall parts 8, 8, and the coupling member 33 has a pressure receiving part 33b to abut on the inner surface of a pocket part P in the direction approximately perpendicular to the thrust direction and receive a pressing force acting in such a way as crushing the pocket part P.
