PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with shelf-life control function for controlling the shelf-life of foods, particularly, vegetables, fruit, fish and the like, housed therein. SOLUTION: The refrigerator 1 with shelf-life control function comprises an ID chip reading section 20, a display section 21, a data base 23 and a shelf- life announcing section 24. The ID chip reading section 20 reads ID information recorded on a powdery ID chip 32 embedded in a label 31 with an ID chip attached on a food to be housed. The ID information read from the chip 32 is registered in the data base 23. The ID information of the food housed is displayed on the display section 21. The announcing section 24 is informed of the housed food the shelf-life of which has expired. |
