PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing solution for a photosensitive planographic printing plate capable of preventing stains in printing and achieving printing durability without impairing image forming properties and capable of improving processing stability even under a pH change and to provide a method for making a planographic printing plate. SOLUTION: The developing solution for a photopolymerizable photosensitive planographic printing plate contains a nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant, a weak acid or its salt having a dissociation constant pka of 10 to 13 and an aromatic carboxylic acid compound or its salt and has 11.5 to 12.8 pH and 3 to 40 mS/cm electric conductivity. In the method for making a planographic printing plate, a photopolymerizable photosensitive planographic printing plate provided on a surface-roughened and anodically oxidized aluminum support is exposed, water-washed, processed with the developing solution, water- washed again and coated with a desensitization treatment agent comprising a) gum arabic and b) modified starch. |
