PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate loosening of a gear shift lever device provided with a link mechanism comprising a rod member connecting a transmission to a gear shift lever. SOLUTION: This gear shift lever device for a vehicle is provided with the gear shift lever 17 in which a grip part 36 is provided on a driver's seat 16 to move a shifter moving part 92 for gear shift for switching transmission speeds of the transmission 47 and a wire cable 85 for transmitting the movement of the gear shift lever 17 to the shifter moving part 92 for gear shift. A lever guide 35 for guiding the gear shift lever 17 within an operation scope of the gear shift lever 17 and regulating it is provided on the driver's seat 16. Furthermore, a regulation member 35a for regulating a travel scope after switching transmission speeds of the gear shift lever 17 is provided on the lever guide 35. The grip part 36 of the gear shift lever 17 does not swing even during running of a tractor even when the gear shift lever 17 is shifted to a position where the wire cable 85 causes play.
