PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely change mode of a movable roof among fully closed mode, partially opened mode, and fully opened mode even during running of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The roof R is divided into three parts, namely, a front movable roof 1, an intermediate movable roof 2, and a rear movable roof 3 having a rear window 4. In the fully closed mode, an upper part of a vehicle room is completely covered with each of movable roofs 1, 2, 3. In the partially opened mode, the front movable roof 1 is moved backward from the fully closed mode condition and is overlapped on the intermediate movable roof 2. In the fully opened mode, the rear movable roof 3 is stored in a storage space 22 formed behind a seat back 21 at a rise position in a front lowering condition and is positioned so as to cover substantially the whole storage space 22 from above while it is extended in substantially horizontal direction with the front movable roof 2 and the intermediate movable roof 3. Each movable roof 1, 2, 3 is supported by support links 10, 12 even during moving among each mode as well as after determining the mode definitely.
