摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost of an abrasion-resistant part for an electronic instrument made of a silicon nitride sintered body, which enables a stable high-speed rotation when used for bearing balls, etc., and to expand its application field for electronic instruments by this function. SOLUTION: The abrasion-resistant part is equipped with a silicon nitride sintered body containing a sintering aid component. The silicon nitride sintered body contains a segregated part of the sintering aid, the maximum diameter of which is controlled to be <=150 &mu;m. The resulting part, which comprises a low-cost silicon nitride sintered body, is used as a bearing ball 2, etc., to form a bearing for an electronic instrument 1, etc. The bearing 1 is applied for rotating driven parts of various electronic instruments such as a cooling fan motor of a projector and a personal computer, a spindle motor of a magnetic recorder and an optical disc drive unit, etc.
