PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally developable photosensitive material having little fog and excellent also in the image preservability of a formed image. SOLUTION: The thermally developable photosensitive material contains at least photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducer for silver ions and a binder on the same face of a support, wherein the silver behenate content of the non-photosensitive organic silver salt grains is 90-100 mol% and a polymeric latex including <=500 ppm halogen ions based on the amount of the latex liquid is contained as the binder, or the non- photosensitive organic silver salt grains contain >=2 reducible silver (I) ions in one molecule and a polymeric latex including <=500 ppm halogen ions based on the amount of the latex liquid is contained as the binder.
