A process for manufacturing a soundproof cover is disclosed, and includes the steps of forming a sound-shielding portion being composed of a rubber, carrying out shot blasting onto a surface of the sound-shielding portion, and forming a sound-absorbing portion, being composed of a foamed resin, on the surface of the sound-shielding portion, which has been subjected to the shot blasting, integrally therewith. The sound-shielding portion and the sound-absorbing portion are bonded with each other firmly, because the shot blasting is carried out in the soundproof cover manufacturing process. Consequently, it is possible to manufacture a soundproof cover in which coming-off hardly arises at the interface between the sound-shielding portion and the sound-absorbing portion. <IMAGE> |
