PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a quality toner image, in an image forming device regulating a gap between a toner carrier and a toner flying control means by making a gap regulating means abut on a toner layer on the toner carrier. SOLUTION: A spacer 5 extending overall length in the longitudinal direction X of a developing roller 12 between an FCP 4 and the developing roller 12 is inserted in a nearer side of a rotative direction D than a transit hole 41 for FCP toner. A gap GP between the developing roller 12 and the transit hole for the ECP toner is regulated in a fixed value because a part of the spacer 5 abuts on a toner layer 5 carried on the roller 12. Further, a controlling blade 14 controls a toner amount to be carried for a toner flying starting position J, or a carrying amount, to be 0.8 mg/cm<2> or less. As a result, under the condition that a disturbance in a surface potential of the toner layer 5 due to the spacer 5 is being suppressed, the toner T is carried to the toner flying starting position J. |
