<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera module in which no air gap is present between an outer circumferential face of a ring-shaped stopper and an inner circumferential face of a barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The camera module 1 includes: a housing 2 forming an outer shell of the camera module 1: a lens unit 3 configuring an optical system of the camera module 1; the synthetic-resin made cylindrical barrel 4 for housing the lens unit 3; the synthetic resin made ring shaped stopper 5 for fixing the lens unit 3 inside the barrel 4; and an imaging element 9 located under the lens unit 3. The camera module 1 is characterized in that an inner circumferential face 4a of the barrel 4 is in close contact with an outer circumferential face 5a of the stopper 5, and that the stopper 5 has a gate 5c in an injection molding step, the gate 5c is formed in a part of an upper face 5b of the stopper 5 in a vertical direction and is cut off after mold release.
