PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism which rotatably supports a rotary side case having various built-in instruments and a fixed side case while generating stable rotation load torque, gives a sure click feeling at a predetermined position, and also arranges signal wires of the various built-in instruments within a shaft of the hinge. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism is composed of the fixed side case 1, a rotary side case 2, a fixed ring guide 3, an elastic body ring 4, and a ring presser 5. When the rotary side case 2 having an instrument 6 built in is turned, its hollow rotary shaft 2b is also turned making the axially movable elastic body ring 4 and the ring presser 5 turn. At that time, a ring face of the elastic body ring 4 slides on a top of a circular rib 3b of the fixed ring guide 3 fixed to the rotary side case 2. The frictional force between the ring face and the top of the circular rib 3b causes the rotary load torque. The click feeling is obtained, because a folded pawl 4e arranged on the elastic body ring 4 climbs upon a convex flat face 3e arranged on the circular rib 3b.
