<p>The piston/cylinder assembly, and especially as a gas spring, has a valve for the movement of a piston rod (15). The valve (27) is controlled by a release unit (11) near an operating control (35), and linked to a load contact unit (37) to affect the valve working. When the gas spring is under a load, the load contact unit links the operating control with the valve for its adjustment. The load contact unit has a push component (39), with relative movement to the gas spring, to act with the operating control, and it is fitted with a spring (43) to force it in the release setting direction of the load contact unit.</p> |
