<p>A weatherstrip 2 comprises an attaching portion 4 with an inverse u-shaped inserting groove 3 for attachment to a flange 1a of the inner door panel 1, the weatherstrip also having elastic sealing portions 11 protruding from the attaching portion to seal between the door inner panel and the window glass 9. A latching portion is also provided to restrict movement of an interior trim end 5. Preferably the latching portion comprises a concave groove 6 to retain the trim, the trim end being guided into groove 6 by a sloping or curved guide 7. The groove 3 of the attaching portion 4 may have a protrusion (4a, Fig 2) or a thick-walled portion 4c contacting the side of the flange 1a, both of which serve to prevent the groove from inclining. Beneath the protrusion or thickened wall portion, lip formations 12, 13 may be provided to guide the channel 3 over the flange. The attaching portion preferably has a claw portion 4b for latching to the hook-up portion 1b.</p> |
