PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sampling device capable of easily sampling a solid without damaging a sample such as cultured microorganisms or the like, capable of reducing the loss of a culture medium, capable of being easily washed at every sampling and capable of preventing the contamination with various bacteria. SOLUTION: The sampling device is constituted of the cylindrical main body brought into contact with the outer surface of the take-out port of a tank or pipe at one end thereof to be fixed thereto and the insert body inserted into the main body so as to be able to advance, retreat and revolve. The main body has a take-out port piercing therethrough from the internal space into which the insert body is inserted to the outside and an operation part for allowing the insert body to advance, retreat and rotate is provided to one end of the insert body while a collection part for collecting the sample in the tank or piping is provided to the other end thereof. The collection part has a cavity part formed to the surface in the length direction thereof and the small through- hole formed to the bottom surface of the cavity part. The cavity part can be protruded from one end of the main body and can coincide with the take-out port of the main body.
