PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of preventing connecting lines from corroding from the cut-off parts thereof after cutting off a substrate even if the connecting lines to be connected to a short circuit line for preventing electrostatic breakdown are formed from a corrosive material. SOLUTION: Gate signal lines 6 and source signal lines 7 arranged on a glass substrate 1 are connected with an inner short circuit line 5 at the ends via non-linear elements 13. The inner short circuit line 5 is connected with an outer short circuit line 3 via a connecting line 4 passing through the part for a liquid crystal injecting port 16 by applying a sealing material 14. Even if the cut-off part 9 is exposed by cutting off this connecting line 4, the cut-off part 9 is coated with this sealing material 20 at the time of sealing the liquid crystal injecting port 16.
