PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the kind of set paper sheets, and make action conducted corresponding to the kind of the paper sheets. SOLUTION: The kind of the paper sheets 1 is discriminated based on an output signal from a lateral hole sensor 16, an output signal from a center hole sensor 15, an output signal from a gap sensor 14, and an output signal from an eye mark sensor 13. For example, when the kind of the paper sheets is a label, cutting action and back feed action are nullified. When the kind of the paper sheets is a center hole tag or a lateral hole tag, cutting action and back feed action are validated.
