摘要 |
PURPOSE: A phosphor screen for a cathode ray tube is provided to achieve improved quality and reliability of a CRT by optimizing the thickness of black matrix and enhancing the white uniformity. CONSTITUTION: A phosphor screen is formed into a predetermined thickness by depositing a black matrix(12) and R, G and B phosphors at the inner surface of a panel(3) of a CRT. The black matrix has a thickness(B) which satisfies the expression of B >=A-(C/4), wherein C is a width of the black matrix and A is a thickness of the phosphor. The thickness of the black matrix is optimized in designing the phosphor screen, to thereby accomplish improvements in white uniformity and quality of the CRT.
