PURPOSE: A wrinkle preventing method for a washing machine is provided to carry out water supply, rinsing and dehydration operations if clothing in the washing machine is not withdrawn for a predetermined time after the whole washing operation for the clothing is finished, thereby supplying water to the clothing and preventing the wrinkle of the clothing. CONSTITUTION: A wrinkle preventing method for a washing machine includes the steps of sequentially carrying out washing, rinsing and dehydrating stroke according to the setting of a user(S2), generating a buzzer sound informing the user of the ending of the washing stroke and determining whether a lid of the washing machine is opened(S3,S4), and carrying out wrinkle preventing stroke for clothing left for a predetermined time if the lid is not opened for the predetermined time(S6,S7). |
