PURPOSE: A foldable arm rest of a vehicle is provided to easily put beverage in a cup holder, to improve passenger's convenience by automatically rotating the arm rest with an elastic body and to enhance passenger's safety by preventing the arm rest from being pushed forwardly through a lock. CONSTITUTION: In a foldable arm rest, a fixing portion(100) is coupled on the side face of a seat back and prepared with a fixing groove(110) and a guide hole. A lock(200) is inserted in the fixing groove and formed with a lock pin(210). A rotating portion is positioned inside the arm rest and made up of a lock guide bed(320) and an elastic body fixing link(330). The lock guide bed is coupled with the seat back by a hinge and formed with a stop protrusion(310) to be rotatable from the fixing portion. An elastic body fixing hole(410) and a lock cam(420) are prepared on the middle bed of a control unit(400). A lock guide hole is formed on one side of the lock control unit to move the lock within the lock guide bed and a lock handle is coupled on the other side. One side of an elastic body(500) is connected with the elastic body fixing link and the other side is coupled in the elastic body fixing hole. One side of a spiral elastic body(800) contacts the elastic body fixing protrusion and the central part is coupled with the fixing portion to rotate the rotation portion.
