PURPOSE: A hermetic rotary compressor is provided to improve compressing efficiency and to extend life thereof. CONSTITUTION: A compressor includes a cylindrical casing(11) with at least one side open; a lower cap member(15) joined to cut off the opening area of the casing; a cylinder(23) forming a compression space of refrigerant therein and stored in the casing to form a storage space together with the lower cap member; a cylinder supporting part(43) protruding on one of the casing and the lower cap member in radial direction of the casing toward a central area of the casing and contacting with the cylinder to support the cylinder; and a cylinder coupling device integrally fixing and joining the cylinder supporting part and the cylinder.
