PURPOSE: An activated oxygen-removing agent containing an extract of Catalpa ovata G. Don and a production method thereof are provided. The agent can be useful for prevention and treatment of diseases caused by the activated oxygen. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing the activated oxygen-removing agent containing a Catalpa ovata G. Don extract comprises the steps of: pulverizing Catalpa ovata G. Don; dipping the pulverized Catalpa ovata G. Don in saline water or alcohol; pressing or heating the Catalpa ovata G. Don leachate to prepare a Catalpa ovata G. Don extract; filtering the Catalpa ovata G. Don extract twice; and adding the filtrate into a composition containing vegetable edible substances or vegetable antioxidants, wherein essential minerals, dietary fiber, saccharides, vitamins, bio-stimulating material and preservatives may be added into the composition.
