PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device that can verify the validity of a disk key embedded in an optical disk. SOLUTION: A disk key detection section 3 detects a disk key on the basis of data supplied from an RF processor 1. When the disk key can be detected, a system controller 7 controls an optical pickup or the like and reproduces data in several sectors included in an audio block section with data of a TOC(Table of Contents) part. A data decrypt section 4 decrypts data in the TOC part and data in the several sectors supplied from a data demodulation section 2 on the basis of the disk key and supplies the decrypted data to a data processing section 5. The data processing section supplies the data in the TOC part and header part data included in the sectors and supplies them to the system controller 7. A validity discrimination section 8 confirms the consecutiveness of time data included in the header part supplied from the data processing section 5 and suppresses execution of reproduction processing or the like when no consecutiveness exists in the time data.
