PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article ejection device of an automatic vending machine which is applicable to articles in complicated shapes, eliminates setting operation for an article passage exit side and can prevent carrying-out trouble as to an article. SOLUTION: The article ejection device 20 has a frame-shape frame 21 and is provided with flappers 22, 23 above and below it. The upper flapper 22 is equipped with an auxiliary support member 26. When the article ejection device 20 is used to eject a thick can, a projection end of the upper flapper 22 abuts against a second can from the bottom and fall of the can is prevented. When the article ejection device 20 is used to eject a thin can, the upper flapper 22 is caught by the auxiliary support member 26, which is not closed and the front end of the auxiliary support member 26 comes into contact with a second thin can 77 and fall of the can 77 is prevented.
