摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an EL element that is capable of forming an organic EL layer in high precision by a photolithography method or the like and also capable of patterning in high precision the second electrode layer that is formed on the organic EL layer by a vapor deposition method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method comprises a process in which a first electrode layer 2 formed in stripe, an organic EL layer 3 that has at least luminous layers formed on the above first electrode layer with a certain intervals, and a photo-resist layer laminated on the above organic EL layer are formed on the surface of the first electrode layer, a process of forming a partition wall-forming material layer 5 on top of them, a process of exposing in pattern so that the above partition wall-forming material layer may cross the above first electrode layer 2 and remain between the organic EL layers in straight line shape, and a process in which the above partition wall-forming material layer is developed so that it may become a shape to have an overhang portion at upper part and the partition wall is formed.
