PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system wherein much inexpensive nighttime power is received at ordinary customers and power demands which peak in the daytime are met. SOLUTION: A hydrogen production unit 4, a hydrogen storage unit 5, a fuel battery 3, load monitors 21, and a monitoring controller 2 are installed on the premises 1 of a customer linked with a power system 100 of a general electric industry entity. Based on estimated demand for the next day estimated from the result of monitoring of the power consumption of loads, an amount of hydrogen to store is determined, and hydrogen is produced and stored using nighttime power. In the daytime, power is generated by the fuel battery 3 in correspondence with load fluctuation, and the amount of electricity purchased from the system 100 is thereby reduced. |
