OUTPUT INCREASE METHOD OF CARBON DIOXIDE GAS LASER AND LIGHT DELAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable delay of a carbon dioxide gas laser that could not easily be delayed conventionally, and to increase the peak output of pulses. SOLUTION: The output light of a carbon dioxide gas laser is time-divided in pulses, and a faster divided laser beam is delayed by the light delay apparatus 14 using a germanium single crystal 20 for overlapping on a slower one coaxially again, thus increasing the peak output of the pulses.
