HYDROGELATION AGENTS

Gelation agents which have biological material constituents which are expected as being biocompatible, can be easily produced on a mass scale, and are capable of readily solidifying a large amount of water or an aqueous solution when used in an extremely small amount. Namely, hydrogelation agents represented by the following general formula: R-An wherein n is 2 or 3; A's may be the same or different and each represents a nucleotide; and R represents a divalent hydrocarbyl chain (in case where n is 2) or a trivalent hydrocarbyl chain (in case where n is 3) and the hydrocarbon is bonded to the phosphoric acid moiety of the nucleotide.
