NON-VOLATILE MEMORY CONTROL METHOD

A non-volatile memory control method free of problem that data which the operator has tried to erase is not actually erased or data which the operato r has tried to write is erased even when a storage device power cut off or a forced interrupt by a reset command or the like is caused while a block is overwritten. When data is written to the last page of a block, a block data validating flag arranged in the redundant area of the last page of the block is made 0 (valid), so as to validate the block. Furthermore, a new/old decision counter is provided, so that data is protected even when the aforementioned solving means cannot cope with.
