<p>The present invention involves seat adjustments mechanism (30) having a memory function for adjusting a selected relative position (21) of a seat back (13) to a support frame (11). The adjustment mechanism includes locking mechanism (51), positioning rod (56) coupled between the locking mechanism and the seat back, a take-up reel coupled to the locking mechanism and including reel housing (71), reel cover (111), spool (90), and spool spring (80), arresting cable (52) having first end (53) coupled to the positioning rod, the arresting cable having a second end coupled to the spool, the spool spring cooperatively coupled with the reel housing and the spool to allow for winding a portion of the arresting cable upon the spool, length of the cable portion related to the selected relative position of the seat back to the support frame, a reel lock capable of fixing the spool, and adjustment control (130) operably coupled to the locking mechanism and the take-up reel so that actuation allows the seat back to be movable relative to the support frame, and dump control (172) operably coupled with the locking mechanism and the adjustment control so that actuation allows the seat back to be movable relative to the support frame until the seat back is moved to the selected relative position of the seat back to the support frame.</p> |
