The packing, which is especially for a bicycle, almost completely encases the bicycle by a surface area, with at least the wheels (3) of the bicycle protruding through the packing on the underside so that the bicycle can move. The packing consists of a geometrically stable paperboard and/or cardboard material and has reinforcing elements (16) provided on the surface area in the lower region (15). The reinforcing elements are made in one piece with the surface area, and consist of at least three strips (17) folded on one another by fold lines (18) to form a square or prismatic shape.
