FIELD: glass industry; manufacture of building materials; manufacture of beads. SUBSTANCE: chamber-calibrator has sectional housing of thermal chamber, heater, loading and unloading hatches; housing of thermal chamber is made in form of rectangular diffuser and is additionally provided with thermal gas intake collector which has form of wedge-shaped detachable hollow member mounted over perimeter of end section of diffuser. Lower part of thermal gas intake collector is provided with orifice whose diameter is equal to (0.10-0.25)B, where B is width of thermal gas intake collector over center section of chamber-calibrator equal respectively to (1.15- 1.45)h, where h is height of end section of diffuser.
