The invention relates to a plug connector for establishing an electrical connection in an electrical unit or the like comprising at least two contact partners, which can be detachably joined and which are connected in an electrically conductive manner to current conducting means such as electrical lines or the like. At least one of the contact partners is provided, at least in part, with means whose original appearance and/or original color visibly changes at a predetermined temperature threshold, whereby the temperature threshold is selected so that it is less than the destruction temperature of the contact partners and/or of the current conducting means.
