FIELD: manufacture of building materials. SUBSTANCE: mix for manufacturing light concretes contains, wt.%: cement, 12.6-13.8; gold slag filler, 48.0-54.5; activated asbestos cement production waste (additional component), 13.1-21.2; and water, the balance. Mix preparation procedure: cement is preliminarily mixed with activated asbestos cement production waste for 1.4-2.5 min, after which 30-40% of specified amount of water is added, resulting mixture is agitated during 1-2 min to form stable foam, and then, while not stopping agitation, amount of water is increased to 60-70% and gold slag moistened with remaining amount of water is added, after which agitation is continued during further 2-3 min until homogeneous paste is formed. EFFECT: reduced coefficient of heat conductivity and increased resistance against cracking at reduced consumption of cement. 1 tbl
