PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footboard of a mat for a temporary road easy to install and remove, and allowing vehicles to easily pass. SOLUTION: The footboard 2 has an upper travel surface 4 on which vehicles and the like can travel, and has locking fittings 8 and 8' at one end and a locking shaft 10 at the other to which the locking fitting 8 and 8' of another adjacent footboard 2 can be locked. The footboard 2 is made of a lightweight material such as aluminum so that it is lightweight enough to carry around. Thus, the footboards 2 can be easily transported manually without use of heavy machinery and can be locked and unlocked onsite to allow easy installation and removal of the mat 1 for a temporary road.
