PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction-casting method for producing a high quality cast product in good yield. SOLUTION: The reduction-casting method comprises generating a reducible compound in a cavity 12a in a forming mold 12 by reacting metallic gas and reactive gas, pouring molten metal into the cavity 12a by pre-cooling the forming mold 12 and casting the cast product by reducing oxidized film on the surface of the molten metal with the reducible compound. As a medium for cooling the forming mold 12, liquid nitrogen is peculiarly used.
