PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit an excellent cushioning effect against a sideward impact for an object to be packaged and reduce a cost compared with a case where a parallelopiped sleeve comprising a large corrugated fiberboard plate is used. SOLUTION: A bottom lid 3 made of a corrugated fiberboard plate having a lower cushioning material 2 made of an expanded polystyrene is put over a lower end of an object 1 to be packaged. An upper lid 7 made of a corrugated fiberboard plate having an upper cushioning material 6 made of an expanded polystyrene is put over an upper end of the object 1. A barrel of the object 1 between the upper and lower cushioning materials 2 and 6 is covered with a barrel cushioning material 5 made of a synthetic resin film sheet which is designed such that all of numerous hermetic partitioned bags 4 which face vertically and extend laterally are filled with air and the respective bags 4 are kept hermetic independently. A band 8 is wound vertically in this state.
