PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cracked egg detection apparatus for accurately detecting cracked eggs, regardless of the difference in the weight and size of eggs to be inspected. SOLUTION: The apparatus for detecting cracked eggs detects the cracks in eggs E to be inspected for detecting vibration, that is generated when shock is given to the eggs E to be inspected. The apparatus comprises a shock application means 13 for applying shock to the eggs E to be inspected, a vibration detection means 14 for detecting vibration that is generated, when applying shock, a weight specification means 12 for specifying the weight of the eggs E to be inspected, and a crack-determining means 15 for determining the crack in the eggs E to be inspected, based on vibration data D1 that are detected by a vibration detection means 14 and weight data D2, that are specified by the weight-specifying means 12.
