PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light shielding device which surely shields light entering from an opening part as a light shielding structure around the opening part where gears are arranged. SOLUTION: The light shielding device shields external light from the space between opening parts 51e and a long gear 71 in a driving mechanism in which the gear part 54a of a movable frame 54 to advance or retreat the long gear 71 is meshed through the opening parts 51e. In the light shielding device, two light shielding gears 72 are meshed with both sides of the long gear 71, and the light shielding gears 72 are arranged near recessed parts 51f provided on both projecting parts 51g to form the opening parts 51e. The space between the long gear 71 and the light shielding gears 72 is in the state where the tooth parts of the gears are meshed, so that the external light L1 is shielded. At the same time, the projecting parts 51g shield the external light L2 from the gap between the tooth parts of the light shielding gears 72 and the recessed part 51f. The light leakage from the opening parts 51e is thus prevented.
