PURPOSE: A method and system for an inventory management using the Internet is provided to reduce a cost for managing the stored goods by enabling a supplier to manage and maintain proper stored goods of a commodity necessary for the seller through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of storekeepers and enterprisers inputs/outputs information necessary for an inventory management through an IT(Information Technology) terminal(10). The Internet(20) is connected to the IT terminal(10). An intermediation server(30) is connected to the Internet(20) and plays an intermediation role between the enterprisers who manufacture commodities and the storekeepers who sell the commodities for performing the optimum inventory management. A managing database(31) stores data necessary for managing a site. A storekeeper inventory management database(33) stores inventory management data for planing and controlling proper stored goods necessary for a selling activity of the storekeeper. An enterpriser inventory management database(35) stores inventory management data for planing and controlling proper stored goods such as commodities and materials necessary for a selling activity of the enterpriser.
