PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable coating composition reducing fouling and improving printability such as emulsification suitability during printing, especially in offset printing using dampening water and having excellent adhesion to oily inks and plastic films even when used as an overcoat varnish in an active energy ray-curable printing ink. SOLUTION: This curable coating composition is characterized by compatibilizing an acrylic monomer or oligomer with an acrylic resin having 50-180 deg.C softening point and high lipophilicity. The acrylic resin contains an acrylic or a methacrylic esterified substance of a 5-60C cyclic alcohol as a constituent component.
