PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small hand finger capable of accurately detecting gripping of a workpiece in a short time. SOLUTION: The hand finger has sheet-shaped pressure sensors 3 to 6 which are inserted between a finger part 1 and a hand finger base part 2 having a supporting face S for supporting the finger part 1, and detect pressures which the finger part 1 applies to the supporting face S. Based on the values and distribution of the pressures detected by the pressure sensors 3 to 6, a force applied to the finger part 1 is detected.
