摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for an axle capable of simply and speedily inserting a shaft into a hub wheel and suppressing play in the radial direction and peripheral direction of both of them. SOLUTION: An inside diameter dimension C1 on a cylindrical face 15 on a vehicle inner side on a hub wheel 1 side is set to be larger than a tooth tip circle diameter D2 of a spline 28 on a shaft 25 side. A length A1 in the axial direction on the cylindrical face 15 on the hub wheel 1 side is set to be larger than a length B2 in the axial direction of the spline 28 on the shaft 25 side. Tightening allowance in the radial direction and the peripheral direction is provided in a fitting part by the splines 14, 28. Consequently, when the shaft 25 is inserted into the hub wheel 1, the cylindrical faces 15, 27 are mutually fitted before fitting by the splines 14, 28 to match phases of the splines 14, 28 simply. Furthermore, play in the radial direction and the peripheral direction can be eliminated when the shaft 25 is connected with the hub wheel 1.
